You’re born to be a wildflower

Wilted but never shattered

Blooming in crevices of anonymity

Destined to rise above the withering

In the rebound of hope and aspirations.

A wild flower, in swathes of sunshine

Ripening from weed to flower head

With gorgeous smells embedded

You infatuate me with your austerity

I’m jealous of you, pragmatic wildflower

Flourishing in wildernesses

Because you aren’t scared of the plucking,

Rather, you dare to shine agog

Amongst the stingy flies and bumblebees

rising and falling with the transcending zephyr

Sometimes so graceful, sometimes so fierce

You are everything, I always wanted to be, wildflower

In the garden of peonies, you shine in your aura

Haphazard, unplanted you sway in a promising tryst with the day

carpe dieming your way

Voraciously and intermittently and things in between

Wither to bloom and bloom to wither!!

PS: Posted as part of 8 days poetic marathon #PeetMeNotLeave. My gratitude to Award winning poetess Ellora Mishra for tagging me!

I write whenever ideas crunch and overwhelme me! It's my reaction outpour.
