The prompt word is Summer. Here’s my entry:-
Vintage Volkswagen camper van
In Sea foam green and varying teal,
Glides past leaving diesel after breath
In the puffing holiday zeal.
Triumphant for its maiden
To the rip currents of Santa Monica,
The Maui whooshes past the blushing spume
like the freed wind harmonica.
To the gregarious tropics It raises a toast,
As the squirming sunshine
Boast and host.
Host a grandeur afternoon gala
Where waves make a choppy sea,
and the wind rustles past
the chiseled camper’s chassis !!

This brings on fond memories! The VW van, part of my youthful past. I was brought up on the east coast and your poem resonates with my teenage years. Thank you so much for joining in.
