Thank you blogadda! Here’s my prompt:-
“Kuchh baat hai ke hasti mit’ti nahin hamari
Sadiyon raha hai dushman daur-e-zaman hamara”
This eloquent couplet for India is translated as:-
There’s something special about us that despite all the odds we still flourish and engage.
I’m Kashmir and the indomitable spirit of Kashmir that is tenacious and refuses to give up!
I’m the family of the bereaved
I’m the martyred paramilitary soldier at the pulwama convoy attack
I was supposed to get back home with toys for my toddlers
But back has returned my coffin with wreath and enveloped in tricolors
when you will do my final rites with a national salute
The ablazed pyre will evoke enrage and pledges to avenge in my mates and countrymen
This martyrdom has awakened a new Kashmir that will stand to rise and win over militancy and infiltration
Though the dastardly attack killed me but my trust is intact and invigorating
My Kashmir is palpitated in misguided youth rage and diminishing prospects for peace
The hypocrites, the rich influential and political elite are supervising power for timid and deceitful means
The distraught sociopolitical milieu is vanquished under corrupt politicians whose whole pedigree should have been indebted to this land
I’m the martyred Kashmiri who serviced his motherland with sincerity before sleeping
A Kashmir fed teen bomber plotted my convoys attack
But Ashok chakra awardee lance naik Nasir Wani was also a Kashmiri who died fighting terrorist in Shopia
I have died but my belief hasn’t and from my ashes will rise a new Kashmir
An empire that will resurrect and reinstiute itself
Which isn’t bleeding anymore, rather pink with oneness peace and morality of democracy.
